Most of the committees need volunteers to work on their
activities.

Maintains the official membership of the Fan Club. Promotes new
membership. Prepares membership packets. Helps man the Fan Club table at the Verizon Center.
Organizes the monthly general membership meetings and invites guest speakers.

Plans activities for members,including meetings with visiting fan clubs.
Planning for this year's activities is underway with visits from other fans clubs as tentative events.

Organizes trips to watch the Capitals play on the road.
Each member is responsible for coordinating one or more trips.

Prepares the monthly newsletter that is issued to all
Fan Club members, Washington Capitals players and management, and
other NHL booster clubs.
Articles are always welcome and can be submitted to Nancy at

Organizes charity events. Prepares letters to the players
who are selected Player of the Month or Player of the Year, goaltenders
with shutouts, or players with hat tricks concerning contributions to
their favorite charities.

Conducts the sale of Capitals and Fan Club merchandise and
organizes fund-raising events.

Oversees the balloting for the Player of the Month and
the Player of the Year. Makes and hangs the signs for home games at
the Verizon Center.

Sends greeting cards to players on their birthdays,
birth of children, and other events.

Responsible for setup, manning and cleanup of
