The Washington Capitals Fan Club, a member of the National Hockey League Booster Clubs,
was established in 1974 for the purpose of developing an interest in the Washington
Capitals hockey club, and the sport of ice hockey as played by the National Hockey
League.

Monthly Membership Meetings. Past speakers have included owners Ted Leonsis
and Dick Patrick; general manager George McPhee; broadcasters Ron Weber, Steve Kolbe
and Joe Beninati; NHL officials Paul Devorski and Rob Shick; Capitals assistant
coaches Dave Prior, Tim Army, and Tim Hunter; reporters Jason LaConfora (Post) and
David Fay (Times); Capitals alumni and Capitals players. This season
we plan to get speakers from the Capitals organization, NHL, the media and others
related to the Capitals and the NHL.

Organize trips to see the Capitals play on the road. See the Trips page for more details of this year's trips.

Host get-togethers with visiting booster clubs and are hosted by other booster clubs
when attending away trips.

Provide volunteers from the Fan Club to assist the Capitals organization with the
Capitals’ Street Festivals, Slapshot Sundaes, and other activities as requested
by the Capitals organization.

Organize activities for Fan Club Members such as attending Nationals baseball
games; watching Olympic Games at Dave and Busters in Rockville; Champs
in Arlington or the Bailey’s Bar & Grille in Ballston; and skating at Kettler
IcePlex.

We publish a monthly newsletter, and announce our activities through our website,
www.capsfanclub.org

Contribute funds to Capitals' favorite charities such as Children’s Hospital, Children’s
Inn at NIH, and other charities for hat tricks, shutouts, “Player of the Month”,
and the speakers at membership meetings.

Opportunity to participate in the NHL Booster Clubs Annual convention, hosted by
a different fan club each season. Activities last for a week and give the
Fan Club Members attending a chance to get to know fans of other teams. The
2007 Convention was held in Philadelphia (hosted by the Philadelphia Flyers Booster
Club) and the 2006 Convention was held in Buffalo (hosted by the Buffalo Sabres
Booster Club).
All Capitals and Hershey fans. So come on and Join us! Tell your
friends! Join us to cheer the Capitals in their pursuit of Washington DC’s first
Stanley Cup.

attach a check made out to "Washington Capitals Fan Club", and either mail it to
the address listed at the top of the form or drop it off at the Fan Club table on
the concourse near section 118 at the Verizon Center on game nights. If you
