COMMITTEES
ACTIVITIES
Promotes member participation in activities (e.g, Nationals games, arena special tours, viewing parties, and meet and greets with visiting booster clubs) to facilitate member interaction.

BYLAWS
Reviews Bylaws on a yearly basis, recommending changes to the Board and, if approved, to the general membership. Makes sure that all actions of the Fan Club follow proper protocol.

CHARITIES
Responsible for making charitable donations in players’ names and speakers. Collects used cell phones and toiletries to donate to local shelters and charities.
FAN CLUB TABLE
Represents the Fan Club at all home games at Capital One Arena and Development Camp and Training Camp at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

MEMBERSHIP
Maintains an accurate, up-to-date database of paid Fan Club members and coordinates general membership meetings.

FUNDRAISING
Responsible for overseeing the Fan Club's overall fundraising and, in particular, the fundraising done by the board (e.g., autographed Christmas ball ornaments and White House Ornaments).

NEWSLETTER
Charged with producing four issues per year of the Washington Capitals Connection newsletter, and distributing to players and members only.

NHLBCC
Liaises between members and NHL Booster Clubs, and represents the Fan Club at the annual NHL Booster Clubs Convention (NHLBCC).

PLAYER RECOGNITION
Makes and hangs signs at MedStar Iceplex prior to Caps’ practices recognizing players’ birthday, births of little Caps, and major milestones.

PUBLICITY
Manages the various marketing communications channels and web presence including on social media (e.g. Facebook and Twitter), and website.

SUNSHINE
Spreads a little sunshine to players on their birthdays, engagements, weddings, injuries and the birth of little Caps.
