We are looking for some energetic and enthusiastic Fan Club members who are willing to devote some of their time to help run the Fan Cl

ub next season. This is a great opportunity to help shape the Fan Club as it evolves to keep pace with today’s social media environment. At the March 28 General Membership Meeting at Clyde’s, prior to the Capitals – Rangers game, we will be electing four (4) members and one (1) alternate to our Board of Directors to replace directors whose terms will be expiring, as well as an additional member to fill a vacancy that we had this year.

A director’s term is three years. With nine members on the Board, each year three members’ terms expire. According to our bylaws, after serving a three-year term, a member must then be off the Board for a year before running again.

To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, have been a member in good standing of the Fan Club for this season and 2016-17 (see Article Four of the By-Laws for specifics), and must be committed to serve the three year term.

The new Board takes over at the May Board meeting. Board meeting are held once a month, normally at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington in the evening. Board members must attend unless excused due to illness, work, or travel. Members are encouraged to actively participate in committee work.
